Preliminary Schedule

Weekend Plans.  Our plans are far from finalized, but we recognize that you'll want to understand what we expect to take place when as you make your Reunions plans. (That said, we hope you'll attend the entire Thursday-Sunday weekend!) We'll update this page (and let you know via email) as the schedule firms up.

 

Preliminary. Despite whatever specificity you might see below, everything is, in theory and maybe practice, subject to change!

 

Our schedule: (Keeping in mind that there are dozens of other events open to all Reunions attendees--Alumni-Faculty Forums, theatrical/improv/singing group shows, "Friends of..." receptions, and more, and that there are special activities for our Class of 1980 Affinity Groups.     6:00-8:00pm Dinner for all registered classmates and guests (location TBD).
    8:30-10:00pm Class Performing Arts Showcase. Enjoy performances by some of our class's talented members: musicians, poets, jugglers, speed readers,... (well, maybe not all of the above!).
Friday  
8:00-9:00am Yoga with Rhoda at the HQ Tent
8:00-10:00am Breakfast at the HQ Tent
9:00am-11:00pm Registration Desk Open at HQ
11:00am-4:00pm Alumni Battle of the Bands at Blair Arch (Side One will represent our class (specific time TBD))
Noon-2:00pm Lunch at the HQ Tent
1:00-2:15pm Special '80 Reunion Panel (time/location TBD)
3:45-5:00pm Special '80 Reunion Panel:
Living with a Light Heart and a Focused Mind
Bringing mental health conditions out of the shadows

6:00-7:00pm Cocktails at the Boathouse with entertainment by the Alex Laurenzi ('20) Quartet.
7:00-9:00pm Class Dinner at the Boathouse
9:00-1:00am Dancing to Silver Arrow Band at the HQ Tent

7:30-9:30am Breakfast at the HQ Tent
8:00-9:00am The Tai (Chi) That Binds with Pushpa at the HQ Tent

9:30-10:15am Class Memorial Service (location TBD)
11:00am Class Photo on Clio Hall Steps

8:00-9:00pm Lawn Concert at Finney/Campbell Fields
9:00-9:45pm Fireworks at Finney/Campbell Fields (also viewable from Palmer Stadium)
9:30-1:30am Coffee Bar near the HQ Tent (coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, etc.)
9:30pm-1:30am Dancing to Stereo Junkies at the HQ Tent
Sunday  
8:00-10:15am 

Brunch at Wu Hall, Butler College. Finish up our 40th with a relaxed brunch; a great time to close the loop with friends and make plans to stay in touch--perhaps at our next mini-Reunion?
